How do you spell relief? C-L-E-A-R

Allow relief to help you get clear!

When you are trying to make a tough decision, facing your fears, dealing with triggers, caught up in your head, or trying to resist falling back into that old pattern for the billionth time, how do you bring yourself to a place of clarity in order to make a shift in your life? I have come to realize that when I am clear, I feel relief. It is through relief that I know I am in my Truth and when I act from Truth, the only possible outcome is growth.

Growth isn’t always easy or comfortable, but the benefits of integrity, courage, and wisdom make it all worth it. So the next time your perspective seems fuzzy, confusing, or stuck, take a moment to breathe and pause. Take your time in making a decision. Run your thinking by a trusted friend who knows your goals for growth, or a therapist can help you gain a more objective clarity. Meditation and journalling help you to hear yourself. Yoga, running, or other movement can be great ways to clear your muddy energy and make room for inspiration and clarity to arise.

You will know when you have clarity because even amid possible apprehension if you are trying something new, speaking up, or drawing a much-needed boundary, you will feel a sense of relief. Relief may feel like a huge weight that has been lifted off of you or like you can breathe again. I encourage you to take the steps necessary for you to get clear and experience the relief that comes with being in tune with your inner knowing. You can do it!

As I was writing this article, the song “I Can See Clearly Now” continued to run through my head. As you may have gleaned from previous blogs, I often find meaning, inspiration, or understanding through music. Just for fun, I will share the words with you below. It is such a profound message, I hope that it is something that through reading and listening, will bring the above message more into focus for you. Enjoy!

I Can See Clearly Now – Johnny Nash

I can see clearly now, the rain is gone,
I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blindrainbow of clear relief
It’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-Shiny day.I think I can make it now, the pain is gone
All of the bad feelings have disappeared
Here is the rainbow I’ve been praying’ for
It’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-Shiny day.Look all around, there’s nothing’ but blue skies
Look straight ahead, nothing’ but blue skiesI can see clearly now, the rain is gone,
I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind
It’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-Shiny day.
